All People Should be

Treated Equally

The Lancs and Cumbria Branch follow the ethos that all people should be treated equally.

To back up this statement, the Branch has designated officers to ensure parity.

Retired

The retired members’ section is run entirely for members of the branch that have retired and are no longer employed. Ian Lorimer is the Chair and Colin Wilks is the Secretary.

Events are regularly held and all members of the retired section are welcome to attend. There is a festive gathering around Christmas when retired members are invited to meet for a meal.

CWU Head Office, as part of their drive to modernise, have introduced another website for Retired Members. Go to rm.cwu.org to see what is available.

Youth

The branch has a section especially catering for young members under the age of 30. If you feel you could give service and are aged under 30, please contact the Branch Office.

Visit the website to see what support Young Members can benefit from.

Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic (BAME)

Our community members in the CWU strongly stand by promoting a positive agenda surrounding the BAME issues.

We create and host various events each year that help to provide more awareness on BAME issues within the workplace and across our society as a whole.
